If you are new to pasta making like I am and don't want to spend/justify spending hundreds to make homemade pasta this is definitely the way to go! This has the most pasta options I have found for this price range.

I was gifted a pasta maker that makes sheets of noodles with a hand crank and a drum, then you pass thru for another cut that slices the noodles. Unfortunately there was no way to open and clean the machine! To top it off, the drum was made of aluminum (health hazard).I found this little treasure pasta press which is made of stainless steel and does a wide variety of noodles. It's very well-built and made of stainless steel. It has a pretty engraving and solid orange plastic accents.*** When you are finished cooking, a toothbrush will be prove to be instrumental of cleaning the windings of the crank and the inside threading of the caps.The smallest noodle size worked the best, which the size ended up like a Spaetzle.Here's a recipe I used to make some egg noodles:Ingredients:4 eggs3 cups all-purpose flour (white or whole-grain)1 teaspoon salt½ teaspoon baking powderWater - adjust the level of water SLOWLY until dough has a firm but workable consistency.Combine in a bowl, and knead dough by hand or with a stand mixer.Add dough to press. This should be enough to add 2-3 times to press.Rolling boil with salt water for 5-6 minutes. Drain noodles with a slotted spoon so you can re-use water for the subsequent boilings.Fry noodles in pan with some oil for added crunch and firmness.This is a great device to have along with bags of wheat for any future emergency or festive occasion!

I like it. Yes, it really had a gross odor when it came.(wash the appliance and throw the box away...odor gone!) Yes, the box was really beat up. But the machine itself worked great! Yes, it takes some muscle to screw down on the dough to extract the noodles. However, it is a MANUAL appliance, and for under $20, It does exactly what it says it would do .I haven't tried all the sizes yet, but the one I made worked great! I'm thrilled with it! I'm buying another as a gift!

Very sturdy! I have received a recipe from a friend for Passatelli soup and didn't have a "gadget" to make the noodles. I tried a food mill but that didn't work, so I ordered this because another review mentioned the same soup. It is perfect! I have used it about 6 times now and washed it in the dishwasher each time and it still looks and works great. I have also found it will make tube pasta and spaghetti as well as noodles. Love a mulit use gadget!

So much easier than putting it through a pasta machine and way faster. HOWEVER, don’t throw your pasta machine away as you will need it to make lasagna noodles. This hand crank one is well made and comes with 5 die attachments, including angel hair, spaghetti, fettuccine, and elbow macaroni. By turning the handle the dough is pushed through in the selected shape. Easy to clean, too.
