Had a real old one and it started getting icky so had to toss. Ordered this one as product has a good name. It is perfect. I use it all the time to defrost meat.

Growing up we had Miracle Thaw in the house so I definitely wanted something that was comparable today and this metal thawing device is exactly that. I put a frozen burger on it and it was thawed within 2 hours; same with a piece of steak I had. Amazing invention that came out in the 80s and still proves useful in the 21st century.

The defrosting tray works very well. It is relatively light weight compared to other trays. The down side is that it has rather sharp edges but otherwise defrosts things quickly.

Previously I purchased a different rack to defrost but after time, the outer layer peeled away. Not so with this one! It is all metal and actually draws the cold from the meat to defrost rather quickly. Obviously, something flat will defrost faster than a roast. I think it's fab!

I remember my mom using one of these all the time when I was growing up and finally decided to get one for myself.I promise it really works! It'll thaw out a fully frozen pork tenderloin in about an hour- Smaller items even faster.I chose this one because it doesn't have a silicon frame to remove every time I wash it or feet that would probably wear out over time. Its construction is simple, it's super easy to clean and I see it lasting forever.

Works so fast! I can put a frozen ham steak on there and cook it within an hour. Meat in thicker plastic or styrafoam can take a bit longer, but it’s so helpful! Tip - defrost next to the sink because the “lines” in the plate can help move water away and hopefully not make a mess after frost melts.
