    This is just about the perfect cutting board. One side is stainless steel and should last forever and can be used to cut anything but meat comes to mind. The other side is heavy propylene with a groove surrounding it. That groove could be to trap juice if you are cutting up fruit. It could also trap blood from meat, although I don't know how much cleaning you would have to do if you did cut meat on that side. You should note that this is not supposed to go in a dishwasher.All in all this is a very nice board and both sides should last a long long time. Unfortunately, my wife has age and illness issues that mean this board is too heavy for her to handle and consequently we shall have to use a lighter board.

    I like the size of this cutting board. It's neither too large, nor too small.It's also a good weight, which combined with the rubber non-slip edges, keeps it stable when in use. It's attractive too, with a pretty-but-neutral blend of the stainless, the beige plastic, and the gray rubber. (It also has a handle.)The plastic side for fruits, veggies, bread, etc. is easy to clean, and has a grater at the bottom which is convenient.Both sides of the board are easy to clean.The stainless side is the reason for rating it four stars instead of five. When using this side for raw meat and poultry I've noticed scratches. They're not horrible, nor do they interfere with cleaning the board. But I'm just not crazy about looking at them. So I flip the board to the plastic side and leave it there unless I'm cutting meat or poultry.The scratching issue may seem like a fussy quibble, but I think other folks may agree with me that the scratches detract from an otherwise almost perfect cutting board.That said, if you're looking for a sturdy, multi-use cutting board, and scratches don't bother you, then you'll probably be happy with this choice.

    I love the double sided usage of the cutting board which is very useful! The grater is a plus as well and I use it every time for ginger and garlic! Clean up was super easy. A must have for anyone who is a beginner cook in the kitchen!

    I like that the handle is built in rather than on the exterior. The size is great for the dishwasher as some of the larger sizes of other brands were too large to fit.That said, it does seem pricey compared to similar boards.

    The plastic side is fantastic, plastic, non-skid, and even has an indentation for gripping stuff that might roll away. Love it. The stainless steel side does the job but I find myself less enamored with it. I don't like the sound of my knife hitting the metal but that's my issue, not necessarily yours. The intent is that since the metal doesn't get grooves in it like a wooden or plastic surface, the cutting fish and meat is more hygienic since small particles don't get trapped in the board. Probably accurate but after one use with light to moderate knife work there were definite scratches on the metal (see picture). Now, to be 100% fair, it feels smooth to the touch and there were no gouges in the stainless steel. All in all, I'll keep using it but the metal-on-metal action of the stainless side still puts me off.

    This just may be the perfect cutting board. Wood cutting boards, while aesthetically pleasing, are prone to collect bacteria in the tiny nooks and crannies over time. Plastic cutting boards, when using a serrated edge knife to cut meat on them, are easily marked up with grooves from the cutting resulting in an rough, not smooth, surface. This dual-sided metal / rice husk fiber cutting board solves all of those problems. The smooth metal side can be used when cutting meats and the rice husk fiber side can be used when cutting fruits and vegetables (this side also has a divot with tiny spikes that are meant to be used for milling garlic or ginger). The corners on each side are also raised so that the underside board is never directly touching the countertop. It has a convenient carrying handle and each side cleans super easily (and I even use the handle to hang-dry the board over my sink after washing).I can't recommend this cutting board enough. Get it. You won't regret it.
