I've used a dog nail grinder before, but this one does it a lot quicker and only needs a gentle touch to do its task. Note that this one grinds "fast" and you do need to take care when using it on your pet. On the other hand it does the heavier dog nails while lower powered units take longer and likely can build up heat. Hurting the dog will make it much more difficult to use the nail grinder so take your time and keep the dog less fearful of trimming its nails. Note that this unit grinds "fast" so you need to be careful until you know how long you need to grind a nail. With long overgrown nails it will take longer and you may have to do two sessions to keep your dog from getting upset. Also continuous grinding of a nail generates heat that might become painful to your pet.The grinder appears to be durable and likely will last some time. You do need to remove the housing around the grinding wheel and blow out the accumulated fine powder generated from grinding your pet's nails. Keep the box and paperwork in case you have any future problems with the product and need to contact the seller.

This is an upgrade to a pet nail grinder that I already have. I love the original, but this one is a real step up. I did my 3 dog's nails last night. It operated as perfectly for the 3rd dog, as it did for the 1st. It still has lots of power, before needing to recharge. I definitely recommend this. It's very quiet, too.

I almost didn't order this, because my two pups are HORRIBLE with nail cutting. I was taking them to the local pet store every month, and it was getting pricey, so I decided to give it a try. It works GREAT! Doesn't get the nails super short, but easy to use and dogs seem to prefer this to clippers. No problem with battery life to do two dogs at once, and the sound is very low. I recommend getting your dogs used to it by holding it while you give them treats for a few days first - even turn it on so they get used to the sound. I won't say my dogs are completely calm with it.....but they're ok enough to get the job done!

The media could not be loaded.  A great solution for a fearful dog. Our dog is a rescue pup who get so anxious that veterinarian suggested to sedate him for a nail trimming. I tried do it myself, but I cannot clip nails short as possible and sometimes they chip after . Plus the dog gets nervous and it takes so much time. With clippers I did it in 2 - 3 days not to overwhelm my dog, because he tried to ran away from me or hid his 🐾 paws.Within one day, brief introduction of pet nail grinder and some treats, I finally was able to take care of my dogs "claws" without drama and feeling guilty putting my dog through any torture.Highly recommend - easy to use and great results.

I used to hand file my Great Dane's nails and it would take a couple of hours. She would not tolerate me using a nail clipper on her. So, I started by setting it by her while it was running (which it is very quite) and when she wasn't watching me I used it briefly on a nail then went back to manually filing and then used it again and so forth and before I knew it she was fine with it. Had her nails done in about 20 mins. Extremely quiet and low vibration. Great product.

I have never owned another nail grinder to compare this to but this one does exactly as advertised. My two chihuahuas are extremely difficult when it comes to nail trims and while they are still aren't thrilled about the process, this grinder has allowed me to make significantly more progress with each nail trimming "session" versus the traditional nail cutters I had to use previously. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who has fussy dogs. I don't have to worry about hurting them. Be sure to lay down a towel under the paw you are working on as the nail shavings and dust will fall. With that being said I would also recommend wearing a face mask. The thought of inhaling nail dust kind of grosses me out so I will definitely be getting one.All in all, I am super happy that I finally have a tool that will make our bi-monthly nail trims SO much easier.

The media could not be loaded.  This isnt one i got. And when i check back my item it was being offered for 61$. Now i see a different model at 28$. ModelPictured is not what i got. Mine is white, 2 speed, black cover, micro usb charge and diamond head. I can only say this is a great dremel for my dogs, whom i’ve never attempted filing, manual or power. They remain calm following youtube instruction in how to use dremel on dogs. You have to keep in mind, they dont know what you are about to do. Once they learn you arent going to hurt them they should go “nuts.” And can be enjoyable to both you and furbuddy.9/5 i love the one that came. Pictured in my photo not store. How fo i know one being advertised here will work as well.

We use for our 80 lb boxer, his nails grow so quickly and we couldn't keep up with trimmings. Its taking some getting used to on both of our ends, but very easy to use, I like that there are two speeds for more control over the grinder. The guard is great, but a bit small for his nails so we end up taking it off, which is a bit riskier and makes me a bit more nervous, but we are adjusting. Used it 3 times now, short bursts to help him get comfortable and we haven't needed to charge it yet! Overall, great product so far. Very happy with the purchase..

I bought this for my two dogs. One is a little ShiTzu and my other is an American Bulldog. My ShiTzu has black nails. I've always been scared to use a traditional nail cutter on her. I love using this nail grinder for her. With my Bulldog, his nails are so thick it's hard to use a nail cutter for his nails. This thing files his nails like its butter. And he just lays down and let's me take care of his paws. I think he likes the grinder better too.
