Adult dog went right for the base and mutilated it. He was uninterested in the part he is supposed to chew on so I had to take it away in a few minutes, which is a shame because tooth brushing is not his favorite thing anymore. I will try a new flavor of toothpaste and hope "supervised" chewing will work better. The seller was very eager to help with a refund and took this review quite seriously; I hope they come out with a more sturdy toy that he will love! I appreciated that they were interested in what could be improved.

I have a tiny dog who has sharp teeth capable of tearing things to shreds. This has held up pretty well... except for the base, which is starting to get eaten. I have to encourage him to chew on the top rather than the base :)Does its job well overall; it's easy to put a treat inside the middle part and have the dog stay occupied for a while. Not sure how much teeth cleaning actually happens, but imagine it's a decent amount. One thing that impressed me was that the company offered to swap out for a more durable chew toy if this one gets destroyed by your dog. That's good service.

My golden lab sandy loves this toy! She doesn’t know its for her teeth. I’m so glad I found this because every other rubber toy she has gnawed through and has to be taken away for safety reasons. The only other chew toy that has lasted is an oak log that now is splintering. The rope part is long enough so we can play tug and she hasn’t bitten the knot side off! Definitely would recommend this. By the way, sandy is 6 months old and has sharp teeth so she’s put it to the test!

Took me a minute to realize how to get the toothpaste into the reservoir (place toothpaste tube directly on top hole and squeeze it in), and then my dog a few minutes to learn how to use it (bite where the bristles are and paste is inside there), but he loves it and it cleans his teeth well. I was trying to use a fingertip brush, but he bites down when I do and he's a doberman, so this saves my fingers. I would recommend taking it away when all paste is out because my dog started thinking this is a toy and if I only let him use it when I feel his teeth need cleaned, he wants to chew it even more and it saves wear and tear on the item. After he uses it, his mouth smells like whatever paste I used (mint or meat flavors). I'm ordering the peanut butter toothpaste today since he likes it so much, and my days of having my finger bitten should be over. Worth the money!

My 12 lb toy poodle enjoys his toothbrush toy. I will put a smidge of doggie toothpaste on it and sometimes add a few of his little kibble bits. If I sit it on the counter he will continually jump up in the air because he wants it. Once I set it on the floor he will grab it and head to his bedroom for a chew. Once he has been chewing for awhile he will then rejoin us in the living room to continue his chew. Even though he’s small he still holds it between his paws to chew on it.However, if there is nothing in the chew he will chew on the bottom feet. I then take it away so that he doesn’t tear the bottom up.
