As a vegan I eat a TON of legumes, and I needed a larger capacity colander that was gentle enough on my tender beans, sometimes those mesh ones can be a bit aggressive. The spacing and size of the holes are perfect for even the smallest lentilsThe BIGGEST perk is how easy it is to clean! If you’re used to cooking beans as much as I am, you know what a pain it can be to get the bean residue off some strainers, not to mention the damage it causes your sponge afterwards. I love this colander it’s so versatile, durable, easy to clean and just the right size for my needsAnd at the cost why wouldn’t you try it?

When we first moved into our apartment we bought all our stuff at dollar stores just to get us in our feet til we could buy nicer items. We had a small strained with a handle but it was too small and frustrated when making dinner involving noodles. So I bought this guy and it’s a lot bigger and I was nervous it wasn’t going to be, but, it’s fine. Wish it came in different colors cause I personally think the green is ugly (my opinion) and the pink looked nicer. But my boyfriend wanted the green lol. But it ended up working out cause we have green cups and bowls! I still don’t like the color but the point is; is that it gets the job done!

This colander is great and I wish I'd seen and ordered it sooner. I had been using a traditional, stainless steel colander with some holes in a fancy pattern, but it didn't drain anything very well. I saw this colander and decided to try it and it works so much better! It has hundreds of small holes that let the liquid out quickly while retaining the solids in the bowl. It is lightweight but sturdy, the handles stay cool. I've rinsed rice and lentils and none go through the holes. Pasta drains quickly so it doesn't get cold while you wait for the water to drain away. Fruit washes easily in it. It holds the same amount as my old colander, but isn't as tall, so it fits better in the cupboard. I've only had it a couple of months so I can't report on its long-term durability, but it seems sturdy. It is easy to wash. I'm very glad I ordered it.
