Why bother reinventing the pizza wheel, so to speak? I had a regular Kitchen Aid pizza wheel cutter forever but lost it during a move. I decided to try something new and purchased this item. Wow is it awful. You will use this item to cut pizzas, and it does a very good job of that. But that's approximately 10% of the time you will be holding this item, and the other 90% of the time you will be attempting to safely disassemble, clean, and reassemble it. Those tasks take quite a bit of time and are often very dangerous given the objects you are handling (i.e. a super sharp metal disc clumsily encased in multiple pieces of plastic that snap on/off mere millimeters away from the sharp metal disc). You will find yourself cutting or nearly cutting your hand or fingers every time you open or close this item. My wife has disavowed it in our kitchen, and I finally relented and gave up despite not wanting to lose the investment. At some point you have to admit an item is a sunk cost, and this dangerous product is a nightmare until you let it sink to the bottom of the sea.

Much safer than a scary pizza rocker, easier to clean than a pizza cutter, faster than a regular knife which would dull faster, and just good modular build quality.

One of those cases where you're not really sure why the previous version was ever even invented.I know you're probably thinking that your kitchen knife works fine, and that's cool. I don't know that I would get this *just** for pizza, but for a parent who needs to cut food into safe sized pieces all of the time, this is a great little gadget that does the job quicker, easier, and arguably safer if you close it when you're done. Washes easily, holds up well.

I'm Italian-American. I make pizza weekly in my house. I have the stone which has been passed down from earlier generations and the secret recipes. All is good, my kids, their friends, they all come over to our house when Dad is making pizza. A couple kids even nicknamed me Papa John. I quickly corrected them that it was insulting as my pizza is the best! The only ingredient I was missing was a decent pizza cutter. That was in the past, this is a GAME CHANGER! Works great, is safe and way better than any other design. I was skeptical at first until I used it. Now this rocks!! Mangia!!!

My husband and I are getting to the point in our lives where we can afford a quality upgrade in our kitchen hardware. I really enjoy the clean compact style and the color makes it easy to find. The blade really feels substantial, its sufficiently sharp but will not cut my hand. The blade cover is the best feature because I'm always afraid of little hands or absent minded cooks possibly cutting themselves reaching into the utensil drawer. It super simple to clean and I believe from the way its made the blade is probably replaceable, but the quality makes me think I may not ever need a replacement.I may not have chosen this if Amazon had not had a special ad, but I'm glad I investigated the cute pizza cutter.

This pizza cutter is sturdy, ergonomic and can transform any food from a menacing circle and into tranquil triangles in seconds. Can it cut out other shapes besides triangles? I don’t know. Frankly, I don’t want to know. Give me triangles or give me death!It is described as a “pizza cutter” but I have disregarded that description with reckless abandon and used it to cut quesadillas as well. The sharp blade was smoothly able to cleave the quesadilla in twain.I have bestowed 5 stars upon this Kitchy Pizza Cutter Wheel With Protective Blade Guard, Super Sharp and Easy to Clean Slicer, Stainless Steel (Green) because when it’s all said and done, a star is just 5 triangles fused together.

I used to work for Dominos and Pizza Hut in my college days and cut many many pizzas. So I feel that I know a bit more about pizza cutter wheel than lay people. First, it cut really well. Second, handling was easy. grabbing one half of the wheel seems to be stabler than holding onto a handle that protrudes out. Simple physics really. And third, this is the one I was worried about. How do you wash this thing? Turns out, the plastic handle splits in half. I put all the pieces in the dishwasher and voila! It was ready for another cut another day. So far it's perfect for use with frozen pizzas. I used it with Digourno. It's crust rises and can be quite thick. But this blade was adequate in terms of size and hand placement for me to cut easily without touching the hot cheese or topping.Pro: It does what it claims to do really well. Good value.Con: Can't think of one yet.
