good for many things. I use this for spreading butter on sandwiches, also cheese whiz on pilly steaks. also wrksnwell for frosting cakes and pastery. many uses. I am sure every one can find even more uses thanI have imagined.

I've had this for 10 years and it is still going strong. No problems with the blade separating from the handle, or the handle coming apart, nothing like that at all. You do have to hand wash it (thus the 4 stars and not 5), but really, is that so big of a deal?The blade length provides excellent coverage on tiered cakes and rounds. I've found that trying to use it to frost, say, brownies while still in the pan, is awkward (a smaller blade works better in tighter spaces) and it's not for delicate application. But when you need to get a cake covered, this works great!
