We have two American Pit Bull Terriers and one is a major chewer of bones. We buy two at a time usually and the large size will last them about 6 months or so alternating before it gets to a size I don't feel comfortable with him chewing on (and possibly swallowing) Our other APBT will also chew on it occasionally so I know he likes it as well. Only one drawback, if you pup leaves it laying in the middle of the floor and you don't see it and step on it in the dark, you will be brought back to your childhood and remember the pain when you stepped on a LEGO! Where they chew it can get pretty sharp though I have never seen any blood on it or from my pups mouth, so no issues there thankfully. I wouldn't recommend for a teething puppy, though I believe they have softer ones for puppies.

I've never been too keen on nylon dog chews. My dogs hate them and usually let they lie around untouched. But I read the reviews on this Wishbone and most reviews were favorable so I ordered one even though I have three rescue Labs. The two that do the chewing are just at the 70 lb. mark and they do love to chew.Smack out of the package the brown Lab and newest addition to our crew, grabbed the Wishbone and it's been hers ever since. I think part of the appeal of it is the shape. The design and the three knobs make it very easy to carry around in her mouth and tease the others....right in their faces....with it and then off she goes, doing her whirling around maneuvers to avoid getting caught. One of the Y knobs seems to be the best one for chewing as she has certainly worked on it, with no visible signs that she has tried the other ends. There has been no splintering or cracking and is one of the longest lasting chews they've ever had. I feel really mean that all three Labs don't have one of their own but will remedy that soon. These will be in their Christmas stockings for sure.

As a former vet tech, rescuer and pup momma I've come across some chewers that take the cake. Of course, one of my own is the worse of the worst. My monster lab/poodle mix can DESTROY just about anything I buy for him . He snaps the ultra kongs in half without blinking and will crack even the largest Nylabones within a few minutes. Even toys marketed as indestructible with money back warranties fall to their death in his jaws. That said .... HE LOVES THIS BONE and hasn't managed to do much damage to it which makes it one of the best chew toys I've ever encountered.

My 17lb terrier mix LOVES this bone, he chews it daily. The wishbone shape makes it easy for him to grip and carry, despite it being fairly large for him (we buy him the medium because of how much he chews). It usually lasts about 2-3 months before the knobs are worn too far for comfort. The official safety statement says that once more than a sugar cube is missing it's done, but it's a pretty expensive toy to be throwing away willy nilly like that. We've done a few things to try to extend the life: putting a Kong on the "favorite prong" to prevent additional chewing, wet grinding to buff ends that get too sharp, encouraging him to hold it in a new direction, etc.Despite it being probably the most durable, USA sourced AND made, and well liked chew (which is why I still give it 5 stars), I'm not overly enthusiastic about the product. Nylon is super hard and is known to crack teeth. It's also not digestible. Our vet doesn't recommend nylon chews or antlers, but I've yet to find something digestible (not rawhide) that lasts longer than 15 minutes. So we're at an impasse for now. So far a chew that makes vet, owner, and dog happy seems like a fantasy... so this one will do for now.

We have a pup who LOVES chew toys....carries them with him ALL the time....no kidding! We have purchased many scent impregnated varieties for him and he destroyed them in short order. This brand and design has a scent he really enjoys and, after a couple weeks, has definitely been longer lasting than other products. I do need to note that, though I rated this 5 stars, it does run large. Our pup is a Shih Tzu/ Maltese mix and only 9 pounds. We have a hard time finding chew toys that are small enough for his mouth, sturdy, yet don't need require constant inspection and trimming of plastic shards (they "stick" in our puppy's throat causing coughing.) We cut these into 3 pieces w a "bone" shaped end on each piece - super easy to do w a hand saw and a bit of sand paper to smooth the edges. Our pup LOVES these!

I recently rescued a Wheaten Terrier and was baffled as to why someone would abandon such a sweet lovable creature. Within a few weeks, I think I knew why.... he was chewing everything he could get his paws on, shoes, electronics, drain covers seriously anything, especially when left alone. For three months now I have been in search of a chew toy or bone that he couldn't finish in a matter or hours and that held more interest than my belongings. My husband was losing his patience, but I was determined to find a solution and give this dog a happy life. This bone arrived hours before we had to leave for the entire day to attend a wedding. We came home to find NOTHING out of place, NOTHING chewed on except this amazing bone! It's been a week and he still loves it, it's his go-to-chew. He's barely made a dent in it, pretty much just roughened up two ends. He seems to really enjoy the shape too and the ability to hold it in ways that allow him to really dig his teeth in. I don't believe I'd be exaggerating if I said, this bone is a life saver. My dog was 1 day away from being euthanized when we rescued him. I hope a dog owner thinking if giving up their dog for chewing, as I believe my dogs prior owners did, reads this review. I'd give this bone 10 stars if I could. I really can't thank you enough for this product❣️

Dog really likes this. Great design for younger dog. My dog prefers the bacon over the chicken flavor. Been great for tough chewers...

Personally, I don't love it - but my dog does. God knows why, because it sure as hell does not taste like bacon....not that I've tried. We have 4 or 5 in the house right now because it's the only toy he does not immediately destroy. It's a very hard plastic, so great for strong chewers. As it gets worn, the edges get really rough so definitely keep an eye on your dog and make sure they're not hurting themselves. The wishbone shape is cute, but it's also pretty easy for my dog to hold between his paws when he goes to town on it. He closes his eyes and gnaws on it so passionately that I get a little jealous because I don't think I have ever enjoyed chewing something as much as my dog enjoys chewing this (and let's be real, we have WAY better stuff to chew than they do.)

For some reason, our golden-doodle prefers this over the traditional nylabone. Maybe it's the flavor or shape; he's had it a few months so "newness novelty" would have worn off by now.It would be better if it didn't get all rough (see picture) and flake off little burrs of plastic that stick in socks and bare feet, but since big blocks of silicone don't satisfy chew cravings, and most other things are shredded in minutes, this is the best compromise I've found.Update: after 6 months, he has really put a dent in it (second picture), but it continues to be a favorite.
