I have standard US outlets and this works on top or bottom outlets.It takes less than a minute to “install” by just unwrapping them and just popping them into unused outlets where you might walk by in the dark on occasion.I like that this just sort of pops on without you having to think about it at night when walking in a dark hallway or using a dark bathroom.I notice it doesn’t always pop on either in the full daylight when I walk by it but that it seems to work more consistently at night when I walk down the hallway- so I like the energy saving design it has.It’s pretty sleep and modern and you don’t really notice it in the wall all the time until it turns itself on to make itself known.The light also goes off by itself with time, so you don’t have to worry about it running down batteries when people have already walked by.Overall I’d recommend it.

The night light came 2 in a box. Plug in and done. The unit is light and motion sensitive. When you first plug-in the unit, it will stay lit for a few minutes, then it will turn off, if the room is illuminated from a light source. When the room is dark and there is no source of movement, the unit will remain off, but as soon as it detects a movement, it will turn on and remain turn on for a few minutes and turn off as long as there are no movements to keep the unit stay activated. The motion sensor distance is pretty impressive. The marketing description noted 25ft, and I think it is not too far off. I plugged in the unit in our large living room, and I noticed it would pick up movements as soon as I walk into to the room. Of course, the placement of the unit will determine the effectiveness of the motion sensor. I plan to install the unit in my garage, which is kept dark most of the time. If you have a house pet or two, I can see this unit constantly lighting up throughout the night as pets move around the house in the dark.The light it illuminates is soft and brightens up against the wall, so it is not too intrusive at night. Not sure how durable it will be since I am reviewing this device after using it over a couple of nights. But from the initial impression, I think it may be a good investment to illuminate dark areas of the house where you don’t have a convenient source of light.

Review for: Lights By Night LED Night Light, Plug-in, Motion Sensing, 25 ft. Detection Range, Compact, UL-Certified, Energy EfficientThese small LED night lights are exactly what I needed. They are super simple to use, plug in and walk away. After dusk, the lights come on if you walk into the room. For people that like to sleep in the dark but want a light on when they get up, these are a really good solution. They are bright enough to see where you are going but not so bright that they wake up the household.The shape of the lights allows use of the other half of the outlet so I don’t have to remove them to plug something else in. Because the lights are out during the day, they are not constantly consuming electricity.Five stars!

With kids around we needed night lights so that in case they come crying to us parents they won't pump into walls and doors. We like these because they are small and rather flat so that it doesn't stick out as much. We had similar night lights but it was definitely not a motion sensor type so this was an exciting feature for us. When it detects motion (from far) it will turn on bright and you just go where you need to go. It is LED based so the power consumption coupled with the motion sensor should be very negligible. The two night lights worked great! There are compact and bright for a pitch black hallway. It does what the product description stated. Used them for a whole month and still going strong.
