It's not immediately apparent how to use it when you get it but here's a step by step. Pull up the handle, until it looks like something you'd turn. Got it? It should look like an old Motorola phone. Now turn over and look at the blade. You can see the blade, you can see the gear, and they slightly overlap. Now keep looking at that and pull the lever straight down at like you're going to tuck it back in the way you got it. See how the blade separates from the gear? Now you have the space to set the can's edge between those two. When you start to turn the knob then it pulls the two together and it cuts the top. Ta da! Now play with it a while to enjoy it and you'll never think about it again. I break every one I buy so I'll update when this is broken and how long it lasted.

Was difficult to understand how to begin. A description fm a competitor showed it must turned counterclockwise to get the blade to back off the wheel— place on top of can & turn clockwise — success. Then turn handle counter clockwise to release.

I bought this product few days ago. My wife has trouble opening jars when I'm not around so I said let me give it a shot. I have to say it works very well. I tested in on a few jars with different sizes as well and a twist off nottole and none twist off and had no issues. I hope it will endure but so far no complaints.

Aside from the fact that there are no instructions with the product, it was not easy to understand how it was supposed to work and didn't look like the pictures . Apparently the part of the "knife" was broken when we got it. Skip this one.

I'm not sure that there is much to say other than it's a can opener and it has several other types of openers like a cap opener, bag seal cutter, soda tab opener, .... It worked better tan expected, it's easy to use and seems like it will hold up nicely. The handle tucks away to it doesn't stick out when you need to store it away.

Overall evaluation: good material appearance, great can opener, very satisfied with the quality, with a variety of cans can opener can can, save time and effort, easy to use, no longer have to worry about tin head, this price can buy such a feeling in the quality of the incision has been very lucky, very good, a very good product

The can opener is very convenient and not easy to cut your hands. There is no need to use a knife. It is very safe, and it is made of iron and very strong. It is also very simple and convenient to use, and the product is relatively small in size and easy to carry

It works, but it took me few minutes to figure out that turn the handle left (countclock wise) to adjust the cutting blade out and turn the handle right (clockwise) to adjust the cutting blade in :) once its cutting it doesn't require large forearm strength. it cuts the lid from the side with is beneficial for not leaving sharp edges on the lid, but this can lead to challenges when opening tuna fish and you want to drain the water. I have gown through 3 hand crank can openers that have dulled over time, i open lots of cans. I give an update in time when and if it start to dull. so far so good a 4 out 5 I would give a 5 but I dont know how long it will stay sharp. Side not I am an mechanical designer so design, fit, function, build quality and long term use is important to me.
