Stainless steel, easy to clean, good for rinsing smaller amounts of rice, beans etc for meThe largest is too shallow for large serves of pasta but I already have a colander for that.The handles are strong and well attached, quite happy with this set and consider them reasonably priced for quality

I have had strainers before this where the mesh tore away from the frame, but this seems very sturdy, no tearing or becoming bent out of shape. I also had a strainer where the handle broke under the weight of a cup of rice, that will definitely not be a problem with these. I also had one that rusted, but that is also not a problem with these. I've had so many bad strainers that these make me happy every time I use them.
