Update: I bought a second vest at the end of September 2019 and I AM MORE impressed! They UPGRADED the zipper and gave it a slightly bigger, easier to use zipper pull. I was just thinking the zipper needs to be stronger. I am now an even bigger fan of Gooby and will be buying multiple vests for this winter!Note: Actual garments are 3" bigger than the size chart.--The chart says an XL fits a dog with a 19" chest, 17" neck, and 15" length.--My dog has a 19" chest but the size XL is 22" around the chest. It's also 19" long!-My dog wears a size Medium perfectly. It's a snug fit. The garment measures 19" around the chest.--They say to order up a size, because some people say these fit on the small side. I think it's because all dogs are so differently shaped. I had to order two sizes DOWN - chart told me to get XL, she fits in a Medium. I have a rat terrier mix and she's 14 pounds.

I ordered this as a Christmas gift for my 10 month old Scottish Terrier. I think she weighs about 15 lbs. I used the measuring guide & got a medium for her. It fits perfectly. It seems to be well made. It is easy to put on & take off. I was thinking about using the top rings for her leash, but she often has a mind of her own & i did not want to trust it. I realized I had a Goodby harness that was too big for her so I put it on over her fleece & that works great. I don’t have to adjust her regular smaller harness. We live in NC. Right now we are having a week of freezing weather & I put the fleece on her to go out. It is very soft. But in a week, it may be in the 60’s again. I am glad I bought this soft vest & not a stiff one.

I love this vest. I few weeks ago I bought a vest from the same seller and I liked it because I didn’t have to use an actual harness and it kept my fur baby warm. I just didn’t like putting it on and taking it off because it was a pullover. My puppy is so small I was scared I’d hurt him and also he kept trying to find ways out of it if I left it on him too long. Because of the zipper on this one it makes it so much easier and he actually hasn’t tried taking this one off yet. He seems to like it a lot better too. The material is soft and seems thick so only time will tell on how well it holds up. The extra small in the pullover was a little bit bigger where as this one runs a tad smaller but it’s more in the chest area where it’s a more snug fit. It still is a good fit for him so I won’t have to return it but I definitely like this one and I wish they had more color options available.

This is cute, warm enough for most cold days, and easy to put on. I bought two of them.One problem: It was a little tight right in the middle for my thin-furred and barrel-chested pup, so it caught his fur in the zipper and I couldn't tell until I removed it and fur fell on the floor. :-(Solution: Once I understood why the poor thing seemed afraid of his new jacket, I cut two 1.5" slices in the coat, right at the tightest place, parallel to the zipper. The fabric doesn't fray, and it just gave him enough ease so he isn't stuffed in like a sausage. At first I thought I might sew a piece of felt over each slice, but it actually is fine just as is. I would buy the same jacket again in the same size, knowing it can be "stretched" a bit this way.They love them, and the thin-furred dog now likes to wear his all day in the chilly house.

As it turns out, my little dog is seriously out of proportion. I had no real idea until I measured him for this vest where his neck came in as "small," his chest came in bordering as "medium," and his length falls under "large." What on earth!?I went with the large, which feels off given that he's all of 18 lbs soaking wet, but this was a good decision based on the fact that the vest does cover his entire backside. The neck area being looser actually worked in his favor, being more comfortable, and the fabric, having considerable stretch, works just fine in his chest area too.The vest is really, really cute. It provides the warmth I was looking for, and the comfort factor as well. While my dog has a couple of other outfits, the puffy vest I have for him made him look uncomfortable and out of place at home. This vest is completely appropriate for wearing at home on these chilly nights and to bed. It's also nice that it has the rings to which you can attach the leash to wear as a harness, though if you need more control while walking your dog, I'd suggest keeping the leash attached to the collar.The quality of the fleece is nice, doesn't seem to pill (so far) and best of all, he likes wearing it!I'd highly recommend this item. If it were just a few dollars cheaper, I'd buy one in every color.

A medium size fits perfectly for my 14-lbs rat terrier. The pink color is very cute, the fleece is good quality. The zipper on the back is easy to put on and I love the 2 D-rings for the leash. Well designed and will purchase again.

My 9.74 lb miniature schnauzer is wearing a medium. Glad I chose this size. She has a small circumstance for a neck around 9 inches or so but her chest is around 16 inches with a length around 12 inches. She’s quite long legged so clothes often fit odd in the leg hole area but this fleece seems to fit nicely. I don’t think she’s sure of it yet but I have a feeling she will be thanking me soon as we venture out into the colder weather this fall and winter. Our winters in Central California are pretty mild temperature wise. We usually see an average temperature in the mid 60s but the nights and mornings can get down to freezing temps. This fleece shall come in handy during the evenings and early mornings. the fit might be a little long but just barely. I’m glad it fits her whole body to keep her extra warm. The fabric does stretch and it allows breathability and extra roomy comfort while not losing its purpose to keep her nice and warm. This Koda Mae.

We've purchased 3 of these in the last 2 years. The vests are bright, warm and thick, and fit really well. Great design. Our two mutts basically live in them through winter. We've got a Chiweenie, and some kinda scrawny terrier. Both weigh about 11 lbs. and the medium fits both. The Chiweenie is a jerk and hates pullover jackets, so this is a perfect solution. There's a "pocket" at the top of the zipper to prevent ears getting tangled in the zipper (yay!). We purchased one of these about two years ago and it's still in decent shape; a little stretched out but entirely functional. We purchased two more this past December and they are still fantastic quality. The only potential "con" is that the leash hooks are plastic. Metal would be sturdier. It IS possible for the dog to "back out" of the jacket if you've got an escape-artist pet, but well-behaved mutts should be fine. Since ours are not well-behaved, we just use a harness over the jackets on walks. Great product! You should buy it.
