Cats enjoy scratching it from a variety of angles. 2 can scratch at once. Dog likes it as a chew toy. Wish I'd bought something Iess attractive to the dog.

When I first put this together the sisal ball spun too easily. Cats tried it once each but none (2) were impressed. I put duct tape around the spindle to make it spin slower but they weren't interested in trying it again. I put catnip on it - nothing. I gave it to my daughter (5 cats) = no interest. Can't recommend.

My kitten is still small to use it so he feels a little intimidated by, right now but I know he will love it when he gets bigger. I love that it’s cute and fits right into my living room space.
