I first was going to replace my dish rack with a "cheap" wire version with a rubber mat. After tallying up the price it came to about 36.00 to go cheap. After research, I found this item from KitchenAid. I am very happy with it. The metal parts that separate dishes, are thick. The plastic sections that hold spoons and forks are designed to keep utensils separated including knifes in a side compartment. I bought this one in "Like New" condition. It was basically new. Still in the box wrapped in plastic as if from the factory. I read in the reviews someone was upset the dishes wouldn't stand verticle. Well, they will. But as to his solution , it is really simple. Take a pair of plyers and bend the metal pieces about 2 degrees. If that was his Problem, Problem solved. Finally, I could have spent 36.00 +tax or as I did I spent $53.00+tax. It was shipped for free and for$15.00 more I bought something that has a bit more class. A lot more durable. And a lot more pleasing to the eye.

Have had many different dish racks over the years and have to say this is the best one. KitchenAid is known for their mixer and other kitchen ware, (think Holbart if you're in the restaurant business). And as with all their products they are high priced, but as they say you get what you pay for. One really nice thing is the tray on the bottom, you slide it out a little so all the water drains in the sink. Big plus for me. No more towels or mats under the rack. Lastly just know that this is heavy duty.

I feel as if I have stepped up a few notches in life!!! I love my Kitchen Aid Large Dish-Drying Rack. It has all the qualities and features of a quality dish-drying rack. There is no assembly required except to remove it from the box. It's beautiful, sturdy, extra tall and wide for pans, pots, or a cutting board, and looks very sophisticated on my counter. For years, I have purchased the old plastic ones. After having a terrible experience with a non-plastic dish drying rack that fell apart constantly whenever more than one dish was placed inside it. I crossed my fingers after purchasing KitchenAid Large Dish Drying Rack. I am so happy with my purchase. No more sliding, leaking, collapsing, or breaking one of my glasses after collapsing. I can not sing enough praises for this beautiful dish-drying rack. It will not disappoint! Trust me!

I’ve had a lifelong struggle with my relationship to doing dishes. I’ve read that passage by Thich Naht Hanh about doing the dishes ad nauseum, but it’s never been a peaceful meditation. It’s been a CHORE. I have rarely lived with a dishwasher and I’ve been a single parent for most of my 10 year old’s life. I’m always looking for ways to make my dishwashing experience less torturous, and this beautiful dish rack has been a godsend. It’s like so much bigger than my old one and it is so sturdy and it looks great and it is really easy to clean and is built kind of like a dishwasher rack so I can pretend I’m like those fancy people who have dishwashers.

Seems to be a great product, everything they said in the description. Lol... watched the one star video review before buying and clearly saw the dish rack pointed in the wrong direction! Also read reviews from users describing issues with a tray that wouldn’t fit under/product instability. The tray inserts into the lower portion of the drying rack. All poor reviews except corrosion issues are purely user errors. And to think these reviews have have been found “helpful” and have stopped people from purchasing this item!

Definitely worth the money. It's sturdy, high quality, designed well and looks good. After 5 weeks of use:PROS1. Holds large pots, skillets, dishes, blender jar and pyrex. Smoothie tumblers and mugs drain into the sink. Our plates stand upright, bowls don't. Our skillets stand in the large open area, not inside the plate holders.2. Large 3-section cutlery compartment is comparable to one for a dishwasher with 2 removable slot organizers to keep cutlery, knives and cooking utensils separated. We use the middle section for tumbler lids.3. Slanted drip-tray actually drains into the sink. Water droplets are left on the tray, but 99% of water runs into the sink. Designed so the drip-tray can be removed for easy cleaning without having to lift/move the dish rack.4. Dish rack itself is heavy-duty coated metal, not flimsy thin metal that bends or light plastic that breaks.5. No rust, no problems at all after 5 weeks of use for household of 4 that runs dishwasher once or twice/week.We absolutely love it!CONS1. The removable drip tray we love, but to be able to slide out, it fits within the 2 edges versus overlapping them.NOTEThe front end of the rack for cups drains into the sink. The back end for cutlery drains onto the tray. The other 2 sides are where we think people have issues about drainage. The rack is 15" wide, but the removable tray is 14" so we place dishes about 1" from edge of those 2 sides. In doing so, the "dish portion" is still very large. If any water did make it to the counter, you can wipe it up without moving the rack. This is by far the BEST designed rack/tray that we've bought in 30 years. We simply LOVE it!

You are super excited to receive your Kitchenaid Dishrack. But seriously this is a sturdy, "pretty" dishrack that is large enough for pots and pans. The removable insert in the flat wear caddy is useful if you are washing items like teaspoons and tablespoons. Also, I saw a lot of people complain about rusting and the drainboard being too small. No rusting after two months and it appears a lot of people are placing the drainboard under the feet instead of ontop of the feet as the picture clearly shows (and the utensils are not closest to the sink). The only con is that it does collapse at all for storage.
