I bought this a few years back and installed it myself, setting the posts in cement. It looks as even and perfect as the day it went in! My wooden one would have had to be painted every spring...yuck. This is always bright and clean. And it has withstood a few Maine winters as of now. (now watch a tree come smash it in) And even with a foot of length in the ground, there's plenty of space for tall people to walk under it. Definitely worth the money!!!

This arbor is so beautiful. There was one missing part in the whole package. I called the company, they answered right away and said they would put the part in the mail for me at no extra cost. I received it 2 days later and proceeded on to building my baby. It assembled fairly easily, I just had to follow instructions. I did the whole thing by myself in about 1 hour and my husband was kind enough to sink some studs in the ground for me. Together we leveled it so that it looked perfect.. I placed it at the entrance of a rose garden and I am just so glad I bought it. It looks like an expensive arbor. It is very sturdy once assembled and set in the ground. It is also very heavy. The material is smooth and soft to the touch and all of the corners and edges of the pieces are rounded. It looks like I spent $700. One last thing. It looks even better than the model picture on the ad. Really really! Thank you New England Arbors.

Took about 1.5 hours to assemble. Another hour to dig four holes, line up, level and quickcrete into ground. Has held up very well in several wind storms this spring. No fading or other issues yet. Have even attached a wood picket fence to one side and added honeysuckle vines planted in large clay containers on either side.Neighbors have been very positive, one stating he will get married under it someday. Was worried about the PVC look but can't really notice from more than 10' away. Would buy again. Package arrived in tact and with all parts undamaged. Was much cheaper than buying a wooden one and will last longer.

Overall, this is a very nice arbor and a good value at the price I paid (the price went up about $13 after I purchased it). I was surprised at how substantial the plastic pieces were, unlike the thin plastic I've seen on some other arbors. What really surprised me was how easy it was to assemble. It took about 20 minutes to unbox everything, and inventory and inspect all of the parts. I neatly arranged everything on my patio floor before I began. There were a couple of aspects to the assembly that were a bit tricky, but all together, it took me 35 minutes to assemble the entire arbor.I used 2"x4" pressure treated ground contact lumber in 33" lengths to secure the legs into the ground (without concrete), using the extra screws that were in the box. I had to trim a 1/4" from about 9 inches of each of the four piece of lumber for a proper fit. The hardest part of installing the arbor was leveling and plumbing everything, partly because I was working on a slight incline. It took close to 2 hours to secure it into the ground, level and plumb it, pack the soil around the posts, and put the mulch back in place. Unfortunately, I'm a perfectionist. All of the screws have white heads to match the arbor. It turns out that they are stainless steel screws, which I found out after calling the manufacturer. I found New England Arbors' customer service to be prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. One criticism is that the plastic in the arch of the arbor has a different sheen than the rest of the arbor, and appears to be a slightly different color of white. The effect is subtle, and not really noticeable unless one really scrutinizes it.

We weren't sure what to expect from this arbor. It's the first plastic one we've had. It seems very sturdy and looks really nice. We've only had it about a month or so but so far, so good. If anything changes, I'll amend this review but right now, it seems very good. My husband put it together in an hour or so with very minimal help from me. He dug into the dirt alongside our pathway with a garden trowel. We are not planning to have vines grow on it, rather flowering perennials on each side. We've already had some storms with very strong winds and it hasn't moved. All in all, seems like a very good product.

Ever since I was 5, I have dreamed of having a white picket fence with a matching arbor covered in roses. When we found our home, I envisioned what this would look like. After much online research, I came across this arbor. I always envisioned a gate along with it and was hesitant if it could be done.I contacted a local fence company and they were able to custom build a gate and install it. The project was recently completed and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you for creating such a masterpiece that is not only beautiful but made from sturdy materials as well. This is proof that you can create that which you envision.Note: roses were also purchased from Amazon.

I'm building a garden bridge to cover up the septic covers, and thought this might help make a little nicer look. It arrived with nothing broken, and nothing missing. Assembly took less than 40 minutes. For the most part it's snap-fit assembly. Just remember that the side upper pickets are different lengths (the one in the center is shorter). Living in the Pacific Northwest, I might take some white caulking to the joints and seams to seal them up, and help prevent some moss and mold issues. The wife loves it, so my life is good.UPDATE: I would recommend doing what I did, and others have done. Get a pressure treated 2x4 (1 1/2 x 3 1/2 actual), rip cut it down to 3" width (1 1/2 x 3 actual) and insert into the anchor post. I cut it down so there is 16" of post buried. The anchor post provided only provides 6" below the Arbor post.It looks good when completed.

We set this arbor up in our yard last year after an old wooden one was demolished in a winter storm. It has survived its first winter perfectly, and we did not even have to set it into concrete to keep it stable. It is heavy vinyl and the style matches an expensive vinyl fence we had installed four years ago, looking very much like it came from a high end company. highly recommend!

Most of the assembly can be done by one, but eventually it will take a 2nd person. I bought 2 of these arches for a non-traditional purpose. We have a new heat pump. Our former one had an open bottom which was convenient since the cement pad is directly under the run off from the convergence of 3 roof angles. Those roofs are in the drip line of massive pecan and oak trees. The new heat pump has equipment attached to the bottom and small drains on each side, not conducive to preventing a buildup of debris.Heat pumps must have clear air flow upward. So we decided to use these arches as visually acceptable, and durable, then added white PVC lattices covered by screen under each and bridging the gap between the two to filter debris without impairing air flow. Needing to line up 2 arches with some feet on cement and some on lower sloped ground was challenging, but the end appearance was worth the effort.

We thought about this arbor for about a year. We obviously don't just jump into things. We read all the other reviews and basically got a how-to install it. We live in Florida, so we had to secure it pretty well. We went to Home Depot, got some 2x4's to add extensions,(basically stilts) to the legs of the arbor by screwing them to the vinyl legs. We added 20" going into the ground. We did have to trim them down to 3 1/4"wide.Two men at Home Depot told me that all I had to do was pour the cement into the holes and add water. That's easy. The quality is very good and it arrived on time and safely.
